Profile Categories: Birth Doula, Breastfeeding Counselor, Childbirth Educator, and Postpartum Doula
My name is Emily and I am studying to become a birth doula. I attended Keene State College and got my bachelors degree in public health, and I will be attending Manchester community college for nursing in Fall of 2023. While I was studying at Keene State and during my gap year after graduation I have been working on the ambulance as an emergency medical technician and a patient care technician at a local urgent care. My end goal is to become a home or birthing place midwife, and to help improve the potential health of every mother and baby. What made me want to become a doula is my interest is the importance of women’s health, and how an individual can already have health concerns even before they are born. I want to be a part of reducing different health risks and infants may be overcome by helping women have a successful pregnancy and birth.
