Angelica Hernandez, MSW

My name is Angelica Hernandez and I live in Omaha, Nebraska. I am originally from Aurora, Illinois, but moved to Omaha after getting married in 2017. I live with my husband and our two daughters, ages 7 and 14. I enjoy spending time with my family when I am not working. We enjoy doing crafts, playing games, singing & dancing, and eating together. We don’t have any pets but we are considering getting a Green Cheek Conure since that is an animal that no one in the house has allergies to. We also enjoy traveling and go to Mexico most summers for a couple of weeks to disconnect and enjoy family time.
I have over 15 years of experience working with families in different settings and situations with my last 9 years being in home visiting working with pregnant mothers and mothers parenting small infants. I have knowledge in newborn care, child development, community resources, breastfeeding, and formula feeding. I am passionate about being a support to families who need “just a little” help. I enjoy being able to be a resource for families and I will admit that I am not an expert in all things, but I promise to help families look for information on what they need. I am proud to say that I am able to speak, read, and write in Spanish as well and feel that helps me to reach and help more families. I am grateful for the ability to help more people and decrease the lack of services for minorities in my community.
