Profile Category: Birth Doula
Hello! My name is Haley, and I am a dedicated public health professional passionate about maternal and reproductive health, rooted in my upbringing in New England. Currently based in Boston, Massachusetts, I have always valued the role of nature in promoting well-being, which influences my holistic approach to healthcare.
I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, with a focus on maternity care and sex wellness education. I combine academic knowledge with practical experience, working as a soon-to-be registered birthing doula. In this role, I collaborate with expectant families to develop personalized birth plans that include evidence-based practices, cultural considerations, and family values. I am committed to providing compassionate support that empowers women and their families throughout pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period. I enjoy engaging with moms and babies through storytelling and educational activities that promote health literacy. Growing up with a bookseller parent, I believe in fostering early health education through books that inspire confidence and understanding about the human body and wellness.
Beyond my work and studies, I find joy in cooking, reading, and sewing. I especially love those late-night bakery visits with friends, and I cherish writing whenever I get the chance. Currently, my main focus is on my education and career, but I always like to plan ahead and think about what’s coming next.
Grounded in New England values—resilience, community support, and respect for nature—I dedicate myself to advancing maternal health through education, advocacy, and personalized care. Driven by my passion for learning, teaching, and discovery, I aim to guide families toward safe, informed, and empowered experiences in birthing and parenting.
