I believe my role as a doula is one of an educator, nurturer, and advocate. I want to be your teammate as you go on your pregnancy and birth journey. I am here to answer questions and point you toward resources as you prepare to welcome your baby into the world. During the laboring process, I am there to nurture you. I provide physical support through body positioning, massage, and breathing techniques. If needed, I am also your advocate. I will remind you of your choices and birth plans in difficult and stressful situations so that you can be fully informed every step of the way. I am not a medical care provider, so I will not perform any clinical tasks such as fetal monitoring or vaginal exams. I am independent and self-employed. As your doula, I am working for you, not for your caregiver or a hospital.
